Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for reading, contributing and coming back! It’s been an interesting year to say the least. I’m still trying to iron out the final draft of my new years resolutions which I plan on posting tomorrow (hangover pending).
I’ve got some interesting new content planned for next year, but there will still be plenty of posts about golf courses, golf news, golf instruction, Orlando golf events and golf equipment.
A little bit of advice for those of you planning on enjoying a few “beverages” tonight, before you begin your merry making, take vitamin B-12 and when you are about to go to bed (assuming you can still remember this) take one more B-12 with a glass of water. This will severly decrease the after effects.
I’m going to end this with a funny story I heard from my uncle. He lives in Greenwood, SC and this is a TRUE story about something he saw on the course.
He was playing in a round at one of the private clubs there was a single golfer in front of them teeing off on a Par-3. This Par-3 was a tee shot over the water. This guy mis-hits his tee shot and *SPLASH* it lands in the water. The guy gets in his cart, drives to the edge of the hazard, goes to the back of his cart, unstraps his clubs and hurls his bag into the water *SPLASH*. After doing this he gets in his cart, and *VROOM* drives away.
They all stare in shocked amusement and then go up to the tee box to play the hole.
After the first two players in his group hit their shots, the same guy drives back, slams on the breaks *SCREECH*, gets out of the cart, wades waist deep in the water, bends over, grabs his bag and raises it out of the water. While holding the back up with one hand, he unzips a pocket on the bag, reaches in, grabs his keys and proceeds to throw the bag into the water once again *SPLASH*. He sloshes out of the water, gets into his cart and drives away…..again…(the text encased in ** denotes a sound effect, for full enjoyment, you are encouraged to read these parts aloud)
True Story! 🙂
Happy New Year All!! See you in 2009!
