10 Years Later

Orlando Golf Blogger is looking to make its masterful return to the spectators and players of golf. A lot of things can change in ten years, as one can expect, so we are here today to introduce ourselves. There will be four active participants on the site: some writing, some editing, all playing and shooting over 110 even though we tell everyone it was a 94.

The blog is going from one Dave to another, David “JoJo” Rodriguez, and from Mark to Matt Johnston. Matt (me) and David (JoJo) will be the two main writers for this site going forward. A little bit about us is that we are both High School Math teachers, and we are both in our mid-20s.

JoJo and I have been playing golf for around 8 months and our current goal is just trying to get better. We would love to be scratch, and we would love to be pro (as teacher pay can barely keep us golfing), but we understand golf is a very hard game, and we are just happy to be out there.

We have played many rounds of golf, at many different courses. However, for this blog, we will only write about courses we play that week. We do not want to do a disservice to the course or the readers by writing about a course we played 4 months ago.

The three sections of posts will be: course reviews, product reviews, and things we find interesting happening in professional golf. There is always something going on in the golf world and we are just trying to spread the word, and hopefully make people enjoy the game as much as we do. We will do a 1-10 scale rating, with 5 being the average rating. So if a course is average to us, it will be a 5. 10s are very rare to come by, but definitely possible.

Our writing will take on a laid back, practical, and humorous tone. We implore you to come to our blog with a light heart, as nothing we publish should be taken too seriously. Golf is just a fun game and we want to share our experiences with you from the average golfer’s POV. The two of us look forward to writing for you guys and bringing back Orlando Golf Blogger to its peak.
