Erik Peterson, travel editor  over at the Golf Channel took a trip to Bethpage and wrote about his experiences while playing both Bethpage Red and Bethpage Black.

It’s a good read that’ll take you through his experiences from the time he arrives, experiences what it’s like to camp out in your car over night, to playing Bethpage Black and how the rough will make you cry.

It seems almost fitting that one must suffer some hardships before being granted the opportunity to play there.
