Good thing he wasn’t Paparezzi

During the third round of the Tour Championship, Anthony Kim hits an errant drive off the 9th tee and domes a spectator.  Ouch…  The video is below, notice how the ball makes contact with the victim’s head and bounces upwards in a high arch.  The reciepent, a 48 yr old man named David Whitfield was reported to have a “crater-like abrasion” on his forehead above his right eye.  Wouldn’t it be more accurate to describe it as a “crater-like dent?” :)  AK offered this man his clubs, bag, and even his belt buckle as an apology.  The poor man was so dazed by the event that he didn’t take him up on the offer, and settled for a golfball with a hastily scribbled “sorry.”  Regrettibly it was not the ball that made contact, but a backup.  Be on the lookout for a huge influx of “sorry” golfballs on Ebay!
Good thing for Mr. Kim that Whitfield wasn’t a Paparazzi…  Those slimeballs would kill for a situation like this.

Enjoy!

Austad’s Golf

Posted by Dave

Stumbled upon these folks today, looks like they’ve got some good prices on gear.  What caught my eye is that they’re selling my driver for $169 bucks!  I paid $250 for this thing at the beginning of the year and thought I was getting a killer deal!  Here’s the picture below.

Nike Sumo Driver

By the way, I absolutely love this driver!  It has a different sound than your used to, but you learn to love it! :)

So if your in the market for a new driver, I recommend it, check the link below to check out their site.

and that phrase came from a woman!  Not just any woman, a woman who’s husband is an AVID golfer!  Woohoo!!  There’s hope for them yet. :)

Check out this article written Cynthia Haines over at HealthCentral.com

Golf: The Perfect Sport

In this article she discusses, how golf can be a wonderful exercise routine if done properly.  Ofcourse “done properly” entails walking all 18, carrying your bag and laying off the booze.  Nothing we don’t already know, I just thought it was a boost to hear a woman admit it! :)

Seriously, she mentions some good pointers and facts that are worth a read.

Like I said last time, sorry I’ve been so aloof, just working on something big that’s consuming alot of my time.

See ya!
