For those who haven’t heard the amazing news, last week, Augusta National Club Chairman Billy Payne announced that hopeful Masters patrons can now apply online for tickets to the practice AND a select few TOURNAMENT rounds.
“Moving the entire application process to our official tournament web site is a safe and convenient way for those wishing to apply for daily practice round tickets,” Payne said in a statement. “We are also pleased to provide a limited number of tickets for the individual tournament round days, which, up until now, have only been allocated to our series badge holders.”
Not to mention, the countless lives of innocent trees that were slaughtered every year from hopefuls applying the analog, old fashion way of “snail mail.” I don’t recall the exact number, but Billy Payne said annual applications for tickets were in the tens of thousands. Now, thanks to the joys of technology, those trees can live to fight another day! 🙂
I’ve already applied, in case you were wondering, so that’s one less set of 2012 Masters Tournament tickets for you! 🙂
The process is simple, whole think took about five minutes, from start to finish.
Hopefully I’ll see you next year at the tournament!
