Orlando Charity Golf Tournament – First Annual Children’s Classic

Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

For all the golf lovers, come out to help us give support to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital while enjoying a fantastic day on the course! All proceeds from the First Annual Children’s Classic will support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, is an internationally recognized biomedical research center dedicated to finding cures for the catastrophic diseases of children. It’s work is supported primarily through public contributions raised thru ALSAC, the fundraising arm of the hospital. St. Jude patients are treated regardless of their ability to pay, with ALSAC covering costs beyond those reimbursed by third party insurers, and all costs when no insurance is available.

Bryant Financial, a local insurance brokerage firm, feels the need to help St. Jude by organizing the charity golf event. A fun way to benefit others, this is all about helping the children of St. Jude.

The Festivities begin at 9AM. We have secured the price per golfer to be $60 that includes lunch, unlimited beverages, but sign up soon because after 7/23 the rate goes up to $70.

Some of the competitions include prizes of a 2011 BMW, a 2 yr Lease on a 2011Mini Cooper, a $250 AM-EX gift card and an Ipod, as well as Free Golf and Gift-Cards to the Winghouse.

After the golfing, the prizes will be distributed and a HUGE raffle will take place. We have everything from spa treatments to tickets sporting events and even an exclusive behind the scenes tour of EA Tiburon, where Madden Football and Tiger Woods Golf are made. In addition to the prizes and raffle items, we will have an Auction of Sports Memorabilia (Peyton Manning pic, Dwight Howard ball, Emmitt Smith ball, Urban Meyer pic, Joe Madden Jersey and more)

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT ORLANDO, FLORIDA – BENEFITING THE SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK

Heathrow Country Club To Host The First Charity Golf Tournament To Benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

The Heathrow Country Club and Heathrow Woman’s Golf Association are hosting a charity golf tournament to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects and distributes donated food to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia.

Their mission is To Fight Hunger in Central Florida by providing access to food and other grocery products in order to meet the need, promoting and supporting the development of their partner agencies’ ability to fulfill their missions, mobilizing leaders and communities by bringing visibility to the invisible problem of hunger and poverty and developing more holistic and county-specific solutions to hunger in Central Florida.

This tournament, open to both men and women, will be held at the highly acclaimed Heathrow Country Club on Monday, July 26. The event begins with a warm-up on the range beginning at 7:30 am and registration starts at 8:00 am. The shotgun start is scheduled for 9:00 am. Following completion of the round, there will be a lunch and awards celebration from approximately 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The format for this event will be Best Net Ball and Best Gross Ball of the foursome. Additionally, we will have men’s and women’s closest to the pin and long drive contests plus a Hole in One for a brand new car!

“This is a tremendous way for us to do something special in our community,” says Meigan Putnam, President of Heathrow Women’s Golf Association. “ Today, more than ever, there is a need for the services Second Harvest Food Bank provides and it is our pleasure to host this event. ”

Individual and foursome packages are still available. The entry fee is $100 per player or $400 per foursome which includes, golf-prizes-lunch and a ton of fun for the benefit of a great organization.
