Orlando Charity Golf Event – Nine 4 Gehrig Golf Classic

Check out the press release below from my good friend Brendon Elliott about an upcoming charity golf event taking place at Winter Park Country Club on May 22nd, 2011.

Nine 4 Gehrig Golf Classic at Winter Park Country Club

It is with great pleasure that I announce to you the formation of the 1st Annual Central Florida “Nine 4 Gehrig” Golf Classic. This letter is to ask you for your support in our efforts for our inaugural event to be held at historic Winter Park Golf Club. This tournament is our way of raising the much-needed funds for the research to find a cure for ALS.

Six thousand new cases of ALS are diagnosed each year and there are 30,000 victims in a race for their lives who need our help now. Your participation in this golfing event will help with funding for some very promising research providing hope for all the ALS community.

Our Tournament committee is hard at work planning a very exciting and rewarding day for this wonderful event. My staff and I at Winter Park Country Club (recently voted #2 Best Public Golf Course in the greater Orlando area by Orlando Magazine) is thrilled to be the host of this great event.

We will be working hard to ensure that the course will be in great shape and as a result we are planning to have a spectacular time.

To make this event the most rewarding experience possible for our participants we are currently soliciting individuals as well as companies to provide help in some way in support of our event.

Specifically we are looking for golfers to take part, sponsorship at several different levels and items to be donated to our Auction and Raffle. If you could help in any of these ways, it would go a long way in making this tournament a success. As a result of your participation/donation both you and the “Nine 4 Gehrig Golf Classic” would be big winners.

The cost per golfer is $75 and to register, please visit ALS TDI Golf.

I’m hoping to attend, so I hope to see you all out there!
