Orlando Sentinel reported Monday that a source who works for the Woods family stated that Tiger Woods is making plans to participate in the 2010 Tavistock Cup, which is being held on March 22nd & 23rd out at Isleworth Golf & Country Club.
Being the ultra competitor that he is, it’s going to be pretty difficult for Tiger Woods to stay away from the 2010 Tavistock Cup after the thrashing Isleworth took last year by Lake Nona.
The Tavistock Cup began in 2004 and is a two day limited access event where 20 of the top professional golfers from Isleworth & Lake Nona go head to head in a fourball two-man and singles matches.
It began in 2004 and to date, Isleworth has won four times and Lake Nona two. An officially sanctioned PGA Tour event, the Tavistock Cup features ten hours of live coverage on the Golf Channel with distribution to over 100 different countries through international affiliates.
The golf professional members at Isleworth and Lake Nona have racked up more than 700 worldwide victories and 53 Major Championships. The Tavistock Cup is one of the most sought after tickets in sports as the invitation-only gallery is limited to approximately 4,000 invited guests. The Tavistock Cup’s no ropes structure provides unparalleled access to watch the best players in the world compete.
Tiger Woods or not, this is still an event that I’d strongly consider trading one of the rugrats for tickets to! 🙂
